The Citizens Energy Task Force (CETF) is a coalition of neighbors and citizens concerned about the proposed CapX2020 high voltage transmission lines in Minnesota and Wisconsin. As a legally registered “intervening party” in the CapX2020 permitting process, we represent the concerns of citizens who question the need for these particular high voltage power lines, and who support clean, sustainable, locally-generated power sources.
The permitting process is going on now and we need you!
CETF has hired Paula Maccabee, a public interest advocate and independent attorney who is highly experienced in Public Utility Commission processes and has a successful history dealing with utilities on behalf of landowners. We have become a legal party in the process which determines if the Cap-X power lines are needed and, if they are needed, how they will be built.
CETF will conduct discovery and cross-examination to question the utilities; host expert testimony to support CETF positions and conduct grassroots outreach to organize members of the community to present their views to the administrative law judge on the case.
